Understanding the Science Stream (Pure vs Bio Science)

- Pure Science (Physics, Chemistry, Math): Ideal for students aiming for Engineering degrees, Computer Science, Robotics, Data Science, or Indian Defence services through NDA exams.
- Bio-Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology): Best suited for medical aspirants targeting NEET, BDS, Nursing, B.Pharm, and Agricultural science courses.

It provides the strongest base for competitive civil services exams like UPSC Civil Services and WBCS, corporate and criminal Law (via CLAT), Mass Media, and Graphic Design.
Is Physical Science marks compulsory to get Science in Class 11?
Yes. In West Bengal, schools require at least 45% in Physical Science and Mathematics (or Life Science for Bio-track) to grant Science stream admission under WBCHSE rules.
What should I do if I qualify for all three streams?
If you have high scores in all subjects, select the stream that aligns with your long-term goal. Choose Science for Engineering or Medicine, Commerce for Finance or Business, and Arts for Civil Services or Law.
Can I change my stream after Class 11?
